I am going to use a 40 gal reservoir for 20 buckets. I been using a 25 gal reservoir but I have to add water daily....

Mike Schloss thank you I was going to set up 2 ,8 buckets systems so I may get away with 25 gal reservoir each system

Looking good. Tomatoes are the only thing I grow in my Dutch buckets.

Are you going to leave the buckets black? If you’re growing during the summer the water may get too warm.
My system is 15 buckets with an inground 50 gallon reservoir connected to a 55 gallon food grade barrel via a float valve. Every few weeks I refill the barrel. This is worked out extremely well for me and it keeps the inground reservoir full.

Do you have any pictures on that? i can’t seem to picture the setup with the barrel. I want to do Dutch for my tomatoes this year, but i am new to them

I put a hose bib on the barrel, attached a feed line to the hose bib and there’s a float valve in the inground reservoir that the feed line attaches to.

In South Fl the summer heat wont allow much to grow anyway.... I am looking for an better grow space

Agreed! It’s not much better here in SE Alabama. The greenhouse is closed down generally from April through mid October. This is the only time I grow! It got a bit chilly overnight but all that water helps keep it warm enough. I do know someone that grows in their garage year round with grow lights but I’d rather not. So I enjoy my clean produce now and catch the farmer’s markets later

any idea How long can they stay at 30 degrees ? We are going to 30 tonight for a few hour, I hat to go to far as we will be 75-80 the rest of the week

My greenhouse can hold it above freezing down to about 28, maybe more but that's my comfort zone. We went to 27 last night so I threw a tarp over the roof and it was 35 before sunrise. We've hit 30 several times and I did nothing ... and everything was fine. My only suggestion is if you have delicate/young plants touching the wall of your greenhouse, you may want to put something between them. Now that my plants are a few months old I don't even do that. You should be fine! I'm from the midwest and I love the forecasts now that I'm in the south: Warning, it will be below freezing for 4 hours overnight!! Not 4 days!!!

How do you weather proof this? Wind/rain/heat?
